Closer
He’d heard how she’d received her wounds and was awed by her bravery as much as by her beauty.
Her skill with the blade far outweighed his own. Could he learn from her, perhaps? A chance to be close to her…
Yet it was she who came to him, humbly requesting tuition with the bow. How could he refuse?
She was not a natural, grew frustrated at her failure, always aiming far too high or too low.
“It’s all in the angle, my lady Éowyn” he whispered gently as his hands covered her own, lowering his lips to meet hers.
