Besides email notification, you can also subscribe to one of our feeds. Feeds are more flexible, and are available for all updates, not just completely new stories (feeds will also let you know when a new chapter is added to an existing story). Feeds also allow you to specify which type of updates you want to receive, and where you want to read them, for example on your LiveJournal Friends page. You can even have feeds emailed to you!
