Illustration for Minx, the lovely author of Grief and Hope because she asked for it (without knowing what it would be she might get). I`m afraid I altered the scene more than a little – sometimes during the process the scenery begins to sprout and I let it have its way. Also, meanwhile it seems to me that it is almost too cluttered. Perhaps I should start considering a different format. Bayeux Tapestry would be an interesting alternative…

Five minutes ago I realized that, after scanning this painting a couple of weeks ago, I totally forgot to post it. First sign of age, I guess…

Although since recently a king, I felt like a clumsy courtier.

Yet now all that seemed inappropriate to me was the thought of laying the steward of Gondor on a horse blanket in the kingly stables.

Boring title, I know, but I somewhat ran out of inspiration. A big big SORRY to Chaos_Erevos who patiently endured my bad mood after noticing that I´d accidentaly erased an entire comic.

If a picture could be a sequel to a tale, this one would continue the story of Not You, the first of the very few fics I posted here.
After an incident like that, who would be there for comfort if not a brother – and the shielding cloak of night.

The scene that wasn´t in the movie – but it does exist, somewhere, and one day, on the Very Special Super Hyper Enormously-Extended Version we will get it to see.

To me the meeting of Pippin and Faramir is one of the most cute and touching scenes in The Return of the King…

I went a bit experimental here. In the movie the scene is set in bright daylight but I tried to bring out the spooky atmosphere… anyway, now that it´s finished I have no idea whether it works or not. *apologizing shrug*

I love taking slivers of dialogue and put them into completely different coherencies. This title is the first line of a bath song Bilbo Baggins once wrote (and right he is. Such a joyful hedonistic pleasure and such little cultural references to it!). It appears in the first book, I think Pippin sings it. Well, I´m pretty sure there´s a bathhouse somewhere in Mina Tirith. After all the warriors need a place to go when they return from a strife or a battle all dirty and covered with dust…

Sometimes Faramir does work too much. Good to know his King will be there for a distraction (though not necessarily a politically correct one).

To and inspired by Eora. Because somebody has to take the blame. ;)

Given I haven´t entirely misinterpreted the book Faramir is what we could call a classical bookworm. It is common knowledge that eager readers are bright, sensible and educated people. Also true though less known is that sometimes eager readers tend to miss out on current happenings…

Ahem… no. No, I have no idea what I was thinking. ´Twas one of those ´seven o´clock in the morning epiphanies´. Those ones that make me a) be late at work and b) run around with a silly widescreen grin for 24 hours. Afterwards I use to give up and do something about them. Otherwise people start to ask me questions…

There is a moment in The Two Towers when Faramir tells Frodo and Sam about how he met Mithrandir when he was a child. This one was dwelling on my LJ for a while until I thought it could be worth some attention. ;)
