The scene that wasn´t in the movie – but it does exist, somewhere, and one day, on the Very Special Super Hyper Enormously-Extended Version we will get it to see.

Plus: You wouldn´t believe how many people asked me if I had changed over to the Christian section – okay, the inspiration for this was an Italian painting from the year 1505, called “The Entombment of Christ”. But hey, on the whole all the really great stories are similar, aren´t they? X)

Very pretty! I like this version better than Peter Jackson’s ;)

Thank you! :D I must say the crucial flaw about the movie version (apart from the fact that it´s not even really in the movie) is the redundant amount of textiles… I mean, we all know that an ill person should be freed of all restricting clothes, right? X)

Gush melts! Love this – the penciling, shading, lines shading, the lines.. everything! And I hope Aragorn’s hand moves to replace Faramir’s soon :)

Thanks again, darling! :) Why yes, of course the healer has to check all parts of the patient, right? Just to make sure all body functions are working reliably… right? ;)

Ok, I disagree with the use of the word “entombment” anywhere near Faramir – Faramir lives! Forever! :D

Seriously though, I love the feeling of this. I personally wouldn’t necessarily have a “Christian” association with it, but I definitely see something of the old Italian work in it – the sombreness, the grace, the subtle sensuality… Speaking of which, the nipples, gnnnh. Aragorn, cover yourself, have some shame man! There are ladies looking at you here — delicate, modest and impressionable ladies that is, hehehe…

Not to speak of Ioreth, who is definitely an example of decency and virtue and… probably has seen enough through a lifetime spent in the hospital ward! Yes Aragorn, there are ladies around, and most men they get to see are over seventy and close to dementia. Give your generous heart a push and get rid of that filthy, sweaty, way too warm shirt! XD

I think back then (means before the industrial production of books) art was mostly connected to religion. Those were the only stories people had – and though they managed to put every genre of art into them, be it landscape, portrait, light and shadow and, yes, nudity. You wouldn´t believe it, but I even corrected the position of Chris… Faramir´s blanket into a more decent direction! X)
