Summary: It’s Boromir’s turn to fear losing his brother’s affections to another. Another side drabble occuring sometime between the drabbles ‘Second Place’ and ‘First Place’.

Boromir entered the King’s garden looking for Faramir—this being his favorite place.
His smile fled. Faramir was in Éomer’s arms kissing him passionately. Boromir knew that Faramir liked Éomer, but this seemed serious.
When the kiss ended, Faramir noticed Boromir, the man replacing his frown with a smile.
“Boromir! You are actually out while the sun still shines?” He teased, though true.
“Yes, Little One—I thought that I would press you to lunch with me.” He looked at Éomer as if to say ‘alone.’
“I’m sorry; we made plans to go riding and then picnic. Come join us!” Love shone from Faramir’s face.
“Yes,” Éomer said uneasily, noting Boromir’s displeasure.
“Nay—I will not intrude. Go have fun, Love.” He smiled for his brother’s sake, though his heart ached to see Faramir this happy, knowing he wasn’t the cause.
“Alright, Boro—if you are certain. Éomer, will you get our horses? I’ll go get the food.”
He kissed Éomer simply, but passionately; then kissing Boromir’s cheek, he left.
As Éomer nodded, preparing to leave also, Boromir grabbed his arm firmly, voice calm, “If you hurt him—you die.”
Éomer doubted not Boromir’s word—he was a smart man.
