Summary: Boromir ponders the wiles of the Valar

Boromir’s Lament

I know ‘tis not my place to complain. For, in truth, I am the one who has inherited the noble look of Númenor. I have inherited the strong arms, quick reflexes, and keen eyes of the men of Westerness. Yet, there is one thing that I have not inherited. And I find it most irksome.

Perhaps none notice. My strong jaw line, my muscular arms, my full lips, all command attention. It is such a little thing that vexes me. And yet – I cannot let it go!

Why, by all the Valar, does Faramir have hair more luxurious than mine?

I’m sorry! I couldn’t resist. In the movie, did not poor Boromir have the scrawniest locks and Faramir’s hair was full and luxurious. Drove me nuts!!!

eh! eh! eh!
Really good and funny.
Boromir’s problem probably was that he went to the same airdresser of Aragorn.

Hilarious – I can see his face, remembering the feeling as he touched “little brother’s” hair, so very soft and tempting and then seeing himself in the mirror with a coiffure “à la serrated knife” Poor Brom! ;-)

Ha, he wants it all, doesn’t he? Even the hair :) Personally, I actually thought Boromir had the better hair in the movie, although they both could have fared better, really… But in any case, I can totally see him obsessing over something like this. Don’t see him envying his brother’s wits, do we now? ;p

Boormir can be such fun to play with! Thanks to all for your kind (???) words. I’m sure Boromir accepts your sympathy. Do you think Faramir knew? g
